SUMMARY:Volunteer for Sand Dune Fencing Project
DESCRIPTION:FRESPACE Members: We have a great opportunity to spend some time on the beach and assist the Edisto Beach State Park in installing sand fence. This fence will trap blowing sand to create new dunes. Previously installed fencing is proving to be an effective tool for dune restoration. \nThis will be a social event as much as a work detail\, meeting fellow FRESPACE members and getting to know park staff. \nInterested individuals should be able to do moderate physical activity. The park will provide ATVs to shuttle volunteers down the beach. Closed toe shoes\, work clothes\, gloves\, hat\, sunscreen\, and plenty of water are recommended. \nThe dates and times are Wednesdays April 13 and 20 between 1:30 am and 4:00 pm weather permitting.
