SUMMARY:Trail Maintenance Volunteers Needed
DESCRIPTION:We have an opportunity to help the park with trail maintenance on Wednesday\, May 8\, at 1:00 pm in the Live Oak area of the park. This project will consist of pruning vegetation that is threatening to overtake the trails. Volunteers will meet at the Spanish Mount trailhead parking area across from the Live Oak Ranger Station. Participants should be able to walk several miles. Otherwise this is not a very strenuous project. \nClosed toe shoes\, work gloves and appropriate clothing for early May are recommended along with insect repellent. We should be able to complete this project in about 2 hours.  If you can help\, please send an email to frespaceprojects@gmail.com.

Items you might want to bring are water\, a hat\, sunglasses\, sunscreen\, insect repellent\, hiking shoes\, binoculars\, a camera\, and a bag or backpack in case you find some items that you’d like to keep. Make sure to dress for the weather!

Feel free to go at your own pace or walk with the group. \nMeeting Location: Outside of the park office\, which is the large white building between the beach parking lot and ocean \nThe hike is free with paid park admission. Items you might want to bring are water\, a hat\, sunglasses\, sunscreen\, insect repellent\, hiking shoes\, binoculars\, a camera\, and a bag or backpack in case you find some items that you’d like to keep. Make sure to dress for the weather!
