FRESPACE raises funds for State Park projects including the Loggerhead Sea Turtle Project, displays for the Environmental Learning Center, and other needs not covered by park operating funds. Volunteer projects include oyster restoration, shore bird fencing, blowing off the trails, and the Turtle Fest which will be June 1, 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. this year at the state park beach-side.

FRESPACE is appreciative to Bi-Lo for donating the refreshments for the meeting and to Edisto Watersports for donating the kayaking and boating excursions which followed the meeting. The purpose of FRESPACE is to solicit volunteers and raise funds to support local educational and recreational projects for the public by enhancing the park systems, Environmental Learning Center, Ranger Station, and park grounds. Currently, there are approximately 350 members. FRESPACE is a non-profit. For more information or to learn how to become a member, go to www.frespace.org.
