Hello! My name is Laura Zuraw, and I am the new Interpretive Ranger at Edisto Beach State Park. I am originally from Charleston, SC, and I graduated from North Carolina State University with a degree in biology. I enjoy spending my free time outside running, hiking, or backpacking. My love for the outdoors and sciences has led me to pursue a career in environmental education. My past experiences include working as a naturalist at YMCA Camp Carter in Fort Worth, TX, Camp Wesley Woods in Townsend, TN, and most recently Barrier Island Environmental Education Program in Seabrook Island, SC. I enjoy sharing my passion of the natural world with others, and I am excited for the opportunity to educate visitors at Edisto Beach State Park. I look forward to seeing you at the Environmental Learning Center. Come out and play!
