We have an opportunity to help the park with trail maintenance on Wednesday, May 8, at 1:00 pm in the Live Oak area of the park. This project will consist of pruning vegetation that is threatening to overtake the trails. Volunteers will meet at the Spanish Mount trailhead parking area across from the Live Oak Ranger Station. Participants should be able to walk several miles. Otherwise this is not a very strenuous project.
Closed toe shoes, work gloves and appropriate clothing for early May are recommended along with insect repellent. We should be able to complete this project in about 2 hours. If you can help, please send an email to [email protected].
